Associating with the Temple
Devotees have three ways to stay connected with the Temple and participate in the Temple programs and activities:
1) Newsletter Subscriber
2) Registered Member
3) Temple Member

1) Newsletter Subscriber
- Devotees who subscribe to receive Temple Newsletters on the temple website are Newsletter Subscribers.
- The Temple will have the devotee's name and email address provided during sign-up.
- Devotees will receive Weekly Temple Program emails and occasional updates about other Temple activities.

2) Registered Member
Most devotees are registered members.
- Devotees who sponsor Temple programs or perform religious services at the Temple or at home are registered in the Temple website. When you donate by cash, check, or credit card, the Temple registers your name, address, phone number and email provided in the donation form. The contact information is used to send weekly emails and temple program information by postal mail.
- Irrespective of sponsorship and donations, devotees who wish to receive temple emails and postal mails may fill a form at the Temple, request a priest/volunteer or send an email at bht@columbushindutemple.org to become a Registered Member. We require your name, address, phone number and email.

Registered Member Benefits
- All donations to the Temple are Tax-Exempt, except gift shop purchases (religious books, idols etc.). All the donations of a Registered Member are entered in the Registered Member's profile and the Temple sends a year-end donation report. Devotees can use the report to claim tax-exemptions on their annual federal tax returns (please consult your tax advisor).
- Devotees can make donations for temple programs and religious services through the website.
- Devotees can view donation history, update profile and communication preferences on the website.
- Devotees can use the self-service kiosk at the Temple to make donations.
- Devotees will receive Weekly Temple Program emails and occasional updates about other Temple activities.
- Devotees will receive the annual Temple calendar, bi-annual-newsletter and temple program invitations for special annual programs by postal mail.
